IMR’s Repair Shop Tracking Study Reveals WDs Get about Two-Thirds of Ride Control Business for Asian Vehicles

When independent repair shops are looking for ride control products for Asian vehicles, almost two-thirds of those shops surveyed said they buy from the warehouse distributor first. IMR Inc.’s Repair Shop Tracking Study reveals that 66.7 percent of shops go to the WD first for their Asian vehicle ride control parts while only 31.1 percent said they contacted a retail store first.

“Our IMR Repair Shop Tracking Study shows more shops go to the WD for ride control products for Asian vehicles as they do for domestic vehicles,” said Bill Thompson, president and CEO of IMR Inc. “For domestic vehicles, 59.4 percent of shops go to the WD for ride control products compared to almost 67 percent who turn to the WD for Asian vehicles. Retailer lose the most amount of business as they are getting over 38 percent of domestic ride control product business but only 31 percent of the Asian vehicle business.”
