Most Repair Shops Head to WD for Ride Control Products for Domestic Vehicles According to IMR Inc.’s Repair Shop Tracking Study

Almost 60 percent of independent repair shops use the warehouse distributor as their primary choice for ride control products for domestic vehicles. According to IMR Inc.’s Repair Shop Tracking Study, 59.4 percent of shops go to the WD first for their domestic vehicle ride control parts while 38.4 percent prefer retailers as their primary choice.

“As we are finding out in most of our Repair Shop Tracking studies, the WD is the usually the No. 1 choice of independent repair shops for parts and this is no different for ride control products,” said Bill Thompson, president and CEO of IMR Inc. “However, unlike with sensors, where seven percent purchased those products first from dealers, only 2.2 percent of independent repair shops buy their ride control products first from the car dealer.”
